For anti-wrinkle injections, it does vary between individuals but an approximate timeframe is 3-5 months. Exercise and stress can have an impact on longevity.

For dermal fillers, it will depend on which type of filler is used and where on the face it is placed. Dermal fillers can last anywhere from 6-18months, sometimes shorter or longer depending on how quickly your body metabolizes the fillers. Lip fillers typically last for 6-12+ months. 

PDO matrix threads generally last for 6 to 12 months, depending on the number of threads and how your body responds.

For anti-wrinkle treatment, it can vary slightly depending on how strong your facial muscles are. Below are the starting prices:

• forehead only starts from $125
• frown and forehead treatment ranges from $250 – $320
• Frown, forehead & crows feet treatment ranges from $450-$550

Again, the dose and price will be patient dependent, hence why it is important to have a face to face consultation so we can see how strong your muscles are and understand your desired result.

Dermal fillers and lip fillers come in 1ml syringes and prices range from $299/ml – $599/ml depending on which filler you choose (which will also determine the longevity of the filler).

PDO matrix threads start at $350 for 10 threads and increase by $100 for each additional 10 threads.

We use the smallest needles possible and most people describe it as a small pin prick. More importantly it only takes seconds to complete an anti-wrinkle treatment for a specified area and when treating with dermal filler, we use a very effective numbing cream to help with making it as comfortable as possible. Plus all the dermal fillers used at SCinjectables have lidocaine in the syringe to help further with the numbing.

For PDO matrix threads, we use a topical numbing cream and a local anesthetic on the treated areas to make it more comfortable for you. In some cases, patients have reported not feeling any pain at all. 

For anti-wrinkle injections the recovery time is minutes. For most people they will get a little swelling where the injections were placed that look similar to mosquito bites, and this swelling usually disappears within 10-15 minutes. It is truly the lunch time treatment!

For lip fillers, dermal fillers and PDO matrix threads, we advise patients to expect bruising and swelling, and if this happens the swelling will last for 2-3 days and with bruising it can take up to a week depending on the size of the bruise. However, bruising does not happen every single time. Factors which contribute to whether you bruise are:

• injector technique and experience
• whether you have had blood thinners in the past week (ibuprofen, fish oil, aspirin, alcohol etc.)
• facial anatomy

For anti-wrinkle injections, it will take approximately 2-4 days to start working but up to 2 weeks for a full effect.

For dermal fillers and lip fillers, it will work immediately, but will take 2-4 weeks for the filler to completely settle and integrate with tissues beneath the skin.

For PDO matrix threads, the results will start showing at approximately 6 weeks and continue to improve over 12 weeks from the treatment.
